With about 3,000 students from over 80 countries and 650 academic staff, the Università della Svizzera italiana is one of the youngest and most dynamic universities in Switzerland. As part of the Swiss university system, USI places particular emphasis on the quality and volume of its scientific research and perfectly fits into the Swiss and European financing systems.
English is the academic community’s second language in teaching and in research. This allows USI to reach out to a wide array of students, researchers, teachers and institutional partners. USI maintains close relationships with the working world and offers qualified support to its students and graduates as well as to the enterprises it works with. Through the combination of different faculties, numerous competence centres and a particularly favourable framework, USI offers the best basis for launching innovative, competitive projects at international level.
